Gonna try and keep the kids up2date on my workouts, diet and potential adventures coming up right here – so they can check in as often as they want…

I lost 60 lbs between January 30th and August 1st. The doc put me on the carnivore diet and the weight just started coming off (went from 260 to 200). I’ve been trying to keep consistent with 25 miles a week as far as walking/running/rucking – some weeks it is more, some less, but it’s a pretty consistent average…

Weird thing happened when I introduced weight training and running consistently at the beginning of this month. I’ve always joked about “if I lift a five lb weight five times then I’ll gain 5 lbs in muscle” – not such a joke as it turns out. I’ve gained 15 lbs of muscle in 15 days…

So, probably going to put off “weight training” and just stick to calisthenics for a bit. Definitely going to stop running and just go with walking/hiking or rucking for a bit…

One thing I learned when I was hiking the Tetons a few months back is that the lighter I am the better – especially when climbing. My pack weighs 40 lbs and my front pack (water) weighs another 10 lbs – so, I’m thinking before I head out on my next adventure I wanna get down to 180 and train at that weight for a while to see how it feels with the ruck and water on…

Anyway, that is what the plan is for now – I’ll update ASAP…
