I was the Project Manager for AVS on this one, which ran from the 6th to the 20th…
A special thanks to Doug and Greg for slipping my name to Gary and Heather.
Basically it was four waves for their Presidents Club. Everything went well – and I can’t say much more about the actual show beyond that. “The New Project” was the talent for the Gala night – I enjoy working with that group…
The Kea Lani actually has a good team going on over there now! Dan is gone, and a very good guy (Rock) took his place. That place is actually a nice place to work nowadays. This is my second gig there in the last few months and a lot has changed for the good…
Anyway, I was totally bummed that I didn’t get to work with Jim and Larry on Oahu (cause my wife is ready to give birth any day and I need to stay on Maui), but this show really worked out well for me…

Just got done striking this one. Hapa at the MACC – what else is there to say?
I did audio for the preshow and ran spot for the show – Not to take anything from Barry or Charles, but Nathan is incredible! Whenever he touches that 7-string bass I’m in awe! The guy is the best bass player I’ve ever heard – and what an incredible voice. One of the few voices that, when you hear it, you know it’s a hawaiian voice…

I’m gonna do it people! Get ready! I’m gonna start going around filming/interviewing the local techs, equipment, and venues and putting them all up here for everyone to see. It’s gonna be a living brochure…
Everyone has an idea for it. Give me yours!
I’m gonna try to get everyone together, but this time of year that just isn’t gonna happen, so I’ll talk to ya all individually…
Tell me, give me a list: what do you think you would like to show/tell a potential client to sell yourself/equipment…

Charles and I did the sound for this show. Erik had a serious lineup for this one – very talented band. They just had fun jamming for the Montesori School…
I gotta sleep – just got done striking this and have an early call in the morning which will kick off a few weeks worth of work…

So, finally, bought a house in a central location. I can actually ride my bike/moped to most shows now. Cool…
So, finally, my wife is about to give birth to our #3. I can’t wait till the baby is here. Women don’t understand how hard it is to be the guy in this situation. Believe me, I know it’s all about you – don’t get me wrong here – but the waiting for the baby to come thing is stressful for us (guys) as well. Especially when you have a random schedule, with no backup, such as mine. Basically, I’m TD’ing a show for three weeks this month – my wife is due anytime, we do home birth (so I have to be there) and we need the money (so I have to be there too). I’ll be relieved when this baby is here!
So, finally, when all is in order, I will be able to start filming for my mauitech.tv idea. This weblog will become a vlog with a full-on podcast. The idea is to show the beauty of where I live, the customs and traditions, and somewhere in there I’m gonna show you everything about what I do for a living. I want visitors to my site to see first hand what equipment, venues, talent, and techs we have on the island – kinda like a living brochure…
For those of you who are missing my news updates, I’ll get them up sometime this week probably. I have a few months worth to put up…
